About This Opportunity
Imagine Worldwide is seeking a Senior BI & Data Analyst to join its Analytics Team and help drive data-informed decision-making across the organization.
This hybrid role combines business intelligence, dashboard development, reporting, stakeholder enablement, and data analysis.
The successful candidate will work closely with operational teams, country teams, leadership, and technical stakeholders to transform data into meaningful insights that improve program delivery, organizational performance, logistics, finance, fundraising, and educational outcomes.
This role reports to the Director of Analytics and collaborates with Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists, and MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) teams.

What You Will Do
- Dashboard & Reporting Ownership
Design, build, and maintain dashboards and automated reports across multiple business functions - Develop reporting for:
Learning outcomes and usage patterns
Program performance and operational efficiency
Organizational KPIs and MEAL indicators
Product and content improvement
Create dashboards tailored for leadership, country teams, and operational stakeholders
Maintain KPI consistency and support the organization’s single source of truth
Contribute data and reporting support for funders, governments, and external stakeholders
Manage dashboard requests and reporting priorities - BI Tooling & Self-Service Enablement
Establish BI dashboard standards, naming conventions, and reporting best practices
Improve self-service analytics capabilities for teams across the organization
Monitor dashboard usage and improve adoption through training and tooling enhancements
Collaborate with Analytics Engineers on data models and semantic layers
Evaluate and recommend improvements to BI tools and reporting systems - Stakeholder Enablement & Data Literacy
Deliver data literacy and dashboard training sessions to internal teams
Create user-friendly documentation, data dictionaries, and reporting guides
Provide office hours and direct support for teams interpreting analytics outputs
Act as a trusted data partner to operational and country teams
Track and report on dashboard adoption and data literacy progress - Analytics Execution
Analyze organizational KPIs, operational performance, and program delivery data
Translate findings into actionable insights, visualizations, and reports
Support board reporting, donor reporting, and strategy reviews
Collaborate with Data Scientists on data preparation and research visualization
Identify trends, anomalies, and operational improvement opportunities
What They’re Looking For
- Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related quantitative field
Postgraduate qualification preferred but not required - Experience
5–7 years of experience in BI Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar analytics roles
At least 2–3 years operating at a senior level
Experience building dashboards and reports for non-technical stakeholders
Experience supporting multiple teams with different reporting and analytics needs
Strong experience improving data literacy and self-service analytics adoption - Technical Skills
Strong SQL skills and experience working with cloud data warehouses
Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Metabase, or Superset
Familiarity with BigQuery, ClickHouse, Redshift, or similar platforms
Experience working with dbt-modeled data and semantic layers
Strong dashboard design and data visualization skills
Knowledge of descriptive statistics and operational data analysis
Experience identifying and troubleshooting data quality issues
Advanced Excel or Google Sheets proficiency
Python or R experience is a plus
Git/version control experience is an advantage
Work Model
- Full-time remote role based anywhere in Africa
- Collaboration with teams across Africa, the US, and the UK
- Occasional international travel for meetings, training, or field support
- Requires reliable internet access and comfort working in distributed global teams
