Comparis is looking for a Data Engineer to join their growing Data Team and help build scalable, AI-driven data products on a modern Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building and optimizing data pipelines, working with cloud-native technologies, and collaborating closely with engineers, analysts, and data scientists in an agile environment.

You’ll contribute to developing data products that power smarter business decisions and improve customer experiences for one of Switzerland’s most-used digital platforms.

What You Will Do

• Design, build, and optimize scalable data platform services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Develop and maintain high-quality data pipelines and data products
• Collaborate with software engineers, architects, data scientists, and business analysts
• Maintain and improve data orchestration workflows, data lakes, and data warehouses
• Develop clean, maintainable, and tested code for data systems
• Monitor and support production data workflows and infrastructure
• Work with modern cloud-native data technologies and engineering practices
• Contribute ideas and improvements for new data and engineering initiatives
• Support AI-driven data product development and analytics capabilities

What They’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or similar environments
• Strong SQL programming skills
• Hands-on experience with:
  dbt
  Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  Experience with:
  BigQuery
  Cloud Run
  Dataproc
  Dataflow
• Experience building production-grade data pipelines
• Strong software engineering practices including:
  Unit testing
  Integration testing
  CI/CD workflows
  Git
• Experience with Airflow for workflow orchestration
• Experience with Docker and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in agile and collaborative environments
• Open to learning new technologies and solving complex engineering challenges

Nice To Have

• Experience with Apache Spark or distributed computing technologies
• Understanding of machine learning concepts or ML frameworks
• Experience working on AI-driven products
• Experience scaling large data infrastructure environments
• Python or Java programming experience
• Experience with cloud-native architecture and automation
