Cannabis Creative Group (CCG) is hiring a remote SEO Specialist – Content Writer to create search-friendly content, write advertising copy, and help improve organic traffic and campaign performance for cannabis and CBD brands.

What You’ll Do
Content Writing
Research and write blog posts, articles, guides, and other long-form content for different client brands.
Create and update website pages, including service, product, location, and landing pages.
Turn keyword research and content briefs into clear, well-structured, search-friendly content.
Suggest content ideas and help plan editorial calendars.
Refresh and optimise existing content to improve its performance.
Write meta titles, meta descriptions, and headings.
Adapt writing style and tone to each client’s brand and audience.
Advertising and Short-Form Copy
Write copy for paid search, paid social, and display advertising campaigns.
Develop headline and copy variations for testing.
Support email marketing, social media, and promotional content when needed.
SEO and Analytics
Conduct keyword research for new content and existing pages.
Support technical SEO audits and competitor analysis.
Track content performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Moz, or similar tools.
Apply SEO best practices to improve visibility and content performance.
Collaboration and Compliance
Work with strategists, designers, and account managers across multiple client projects.
Follow advertising and compliance requirements relevant to the cannabis and CBD industries.
Manage deadlines and maintain content quality across several clients.
What Cannabis Creative Group Is Looking For
At least 2 years of professional content writing experience; agency experience is a plus.
A portfolio featuring strong long-form writing, such as articles, blog posts, or website content.
Experience writing short-form content or advertising copy.
Strong research skills and the ability to explain unfamiliar or technical topics clearly.
Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals, including keywords, on-page optimisation, and meta tags.
Interest in developing deeper SEO expertise.
Excellent grammar, proofreading, and self-editing skills.
Strong attention to detail, time management, and willingness to incorporate feedback.
Availability for 20–30 hours per week and the ability to start immediately.
Nice to Have
Experience with SEO tools such as Moz, Semrush, or Screaming Frog.
Familiarity with Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
Experience writing paid search or paid social advertising copy.
Familiarity with WordPress or other content management systems.
Basic HTML knowledge.
Experience writing for cannabis, CBD, or other regulated industries.
