Remote QA Lead Engineer Full Time

Sporty is hiring for a remote QA Lead Engineer to take ownership of end-to-end quality assurance across web, mobile (Android/iOS), and API systems.

This is a senior QA leadership role where you will define testing strategy, lead automation efforts, and ensure product releases meet the highest quality standards before deployment across global platforms.

What You Will Be Doing

• Leading QA strategy across web, mobile (Android/iOS), and API testing
• Performing manual and automated testing across multiple platforms
• Writing and executing test plans, test cases, and detailed test reports
• Identifying, tracking, and documenting bugs and system issues
• Reviewing requirements and challenging acceptance criteria for testability
• Developing and maintaining automated test frameworks
• Creating automation tests for web, mobile, and APIs
• Improving CI/CD pipelines and testing efficiency
• Conducting regression, integration, performance, and stress testing
• Collaborating with developers to ensure quality across releases
• Mentoring junior QA engineers and supporting team development
• Participating in design and code reviews to improve product quality
• Enhancing QA processes and introducing quality improvements

What They’re Looking For

• 5+ years of QA engineering experience with full-stack testing exposure
• Experience leading QA teams or QA initiatives
• Strong knowledge of testing types (unit, integration, regression, performance, API, etc.)
• Experience with web, mobile, and API manual testing
• Strong skills with debugging and API tools (Chrome DevTools, Postman)
• Experience with Python for test automation
• Experience with automation frameworks (Selenium or Playwright)
• Knowledge of REST APIs and test automation strategies
• Experience with mobile automation (Android and iOS)
• Familiarity with databases (MySQL required; MongoDB is a plus)
• Experience working with CI systems (Jenkins preferred)
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is an advantage
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
• Must be based in the EU timezone
