This role focuses on architecting secure, scalable billing systems, subscription workflows, payment processing, and reconciliation systems that directly impact business revenue and operational stability.

What You Will Do

• Own and manage the complete payment stack using Authorize.net and cryptocurrency integrations
• Build subscription lifecycle systems including upgrades, downgrades, renewals, cancellations, and recovery flows
• Design reliable webhook processing systems with retry logic and event protection
• Develop billing reconciliation systems with audit logging and anomaly detection
• Manage refunds, disputes, and chargeback workflows
• Create integration and end-to-end tests for payment systems
• Implement fraud prevention measures and rate-limiting systems
• Support PCI compliance and payment security best practices

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building production payment or billing systems
• Strong hands-on experience with Authorize.net APIs and payment services
• Experience building and shipping real-world payment systems end-to-end
• Deep understanding of:
  Tokenization
  Authorization & capture
  Refunds & settlements
  Chargebacks & reconciliation
• Strong backend development skills in Node.js and TypeScript
• Experience handling subscription state machines and payment edge cases
• Experience with financial reconciliation and audit workflows

Nice to Have

• Experience with crypto payment integrations (Solana, Ethereum, Polygon)
• Familiarity with:
  NestJS
  Temporal
  PCI-DSS compliance
• Experience with asynchronous billing workflows
