Web Designer Contract Full Time

About This Opportunity

B12 is looking for a Web Designer to help create and refine high-quality websites for small and medium-sized business clients using an AI-assisted design platform.

In this role, you’ll take AI-generated website drafts and turn them into polished, production-ready websites. You’ll focus on visual design, layout, and usability while collaborating closely with customer success and design teams. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role focused on real client delivery work.

You’ll also contribute to improving internal design workflows and tools used by the wider design team.

What You Will Do

• Turn customer briefs and AI-generated website drafts into fully designed, production-ready websites
• Build and refine websites using a visual design suite and HTML/CSS when needed
• Customize and improve existing customer websites with design enhancements
• Deliver fast-turnaround website projects (typically a few hours per project)
• Ensure responsive design across desktop and mobile devices
• Interpret unstructured content and transform it into clean, user-friendly web layouts
• Collaborate with customer success managers and design leads on feedback and revisions
• Contribute ideas to improve internal design tools and workflows
• Work on multiple client projects in parallel, switching between deliverables as needed

What They’re Looking For

• 3–5 years of experience in web design or UI design
• Strong portfolio of web design work (mandatory)
• 1–2 years of experience with HTML/CSS
• Strong understanding of responsive design (desktop + mobile)
• Ability to translate messy or incomplete briefs into clear, structured web layouts
• Strong attention to detail and pixel-level design quality
• Excellent written English communication skills
• Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating quickly
• Able to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
• Available 10–20 hours per week

Nice To Have

• Experience with website builders or visual design tools
• Experience working in agency, freelance, or client-facing design roles
• Basic knowledge of UX principles and user flows
• Experience contributing to design systems or internal tools
• Familiarity with AI-assisted design workflows
• Interest in startup environments and product design evolution
