About This Opportunity
B12 is hiring for a remote Web Designer from anywhere to create and improve websites for small and medium-sized business customers using B12’s design tools, while working closely with customer success and other design experts.
You’ll work on customer website projects using B12’s Design Suite, a largely WYSIWYG website editor with support for custom HTML5/CSS.

What You Will Do
Read and interpret customer briefs and website requirements.
Turn customer content and preferences into polished web designs.
Use B12’s Design Suite to create initial websites, typically within around 4 hours.
Complete enhancement requests and design improvements for existing websites.
Create designs that work well across desktop and mobile devices.
Work with customer success managers and design leads, incorporating feedback while sharing your own design perspective.
Work on multiple customer projects as feedback and revisions are received.
Help co-design B12’s Design Suite and Orchestra workflow management tool.
Potentially take on reviewer or mentor responsibilities as you grow with the company.
What They’re Looking For
3–5 years of web design experience is preferred, although B12 is flexible and values talent and interest.
1–2 years of HTML/CSS experience.
Excellent written English.
Experience designing websites for desktop and mobile.
Ability to turn unstructured customer content and requests into polished, responsive web designs.
Comfortable working directly with customer-focused requirements and feedback.
Open to feedback from customer success managers and art directors, while being able to explain and challenge design decisions when appropriate.
Comfortable switching between different customer projects.
Willingness to learn B12’s Design Suite.
Available for at least 10 hours and up to 20 hours per week.
Interest in contributing to tools and workflows that support creative professionals.
