About This Opportunity

Bebonia is looking for an experienced remote Email and SMS Marketing Strategist to lead its owned marketing channels and help strengthen customer engagement, retention, and long-term revenue growth.

In this role, you’ll develop and execute email and SMS marketing strategies across the entire customer journey.
You’ll manage campaigns, lifecycle automations, customer segmentation, testing, reporting, and optimization while ensuring every customer interaction reflects Bebonia’s premium brand and authentic voice.

Working closely with the Founder, Marketing Lead, and creative team, you’ll combine strategy, copywriting, design, and data analysis to build personalized marketing experiences that drive customer loyalty and business growth.

What You Will Be Doing

• Email & SMS Strategy
  Develop and manage the overall email and SMS marketing strategy.
  Create and maintain the campaign calendar, balancing product launches, educational content, promotions, storytelling, and retention campaigns.
  Identify opportunities to improve customer engagement, repeat purchases, conversion rates, and customer lifetime value.
  Build audience segments based on customer lifecycle, purchase history, product interests, engagement, and customer needs.
  Collaborate with the marketing team to turn product launches and customer insights into effective marketing campaigns.
• Lifecycle & Retention Marketing
  Build, maintain, and optimize Klaviyo automation flows, including:
  Welcome series
  Abandoned cart
  Browse abandonment
  Post-purchase
  Win-back campaigns
  VIP journeys
  Replenishment flows
  Review flow performance and recommend improvements to timing, messaging, segmentation, creative, and offers.
  Develop customer journeys that educate customers, build trust, reduce purchase hesitation, and encourage repeat business.
  Identify opportunities for cross-selling, upselling, customer reviews, loyalty initiatives, and post-purchase engagement.
• Campaign Execution
  Plan, write, design, and launch email and SMS campaigns using Klaviyo.
  Write customer-focused marketing copy that aligns with Bebonia’s brand voice.
  Design visually appealing, conversion-focused email campaigns.
  Develop subject lines, headlines, calls-to-action, and campaign messaging.
  Work with the marketing team to support seasonal campaigns, product launches, and promotional initiatives.
  Ensure consistent branding across all email and SMS communications.
• Testing, Reporting & Optimization
  Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, messaging, offers, layouts, segmentation, calls-to-action, and send times.
  Monitor campaign performance using key metrics such as:
  Revenue
  Conversion rate
  Click-through rate
  Open rate
  Deliverability
  List growth
  Unsubscribe rate
  Flow performance
  Share performance insights and recommend future improvements based on customer behavior and business goals.
  Maintain strong email list health and deliverability.
• Creative Support
  Design email templates and supporting campaign graphics.
  Create simple GIFs and visual assets for marketing campaigns.
  Assist with creative assets used across email, SMS, paid advertising, and social media.
  Ensure all creative reflects Bebonia’s premium brand identity.

Requirements:

• Native English speaker.
• Proven email marketing experience within consumer products.
• At least 4 years of experience in email marketing, SMS marketing, lifecycle marketing, or retention marketing, preferably within DTC ecommerce, beauty, haircare, or wellness.
• Strong understanding of customer lifecycle marketing and retention strategies.
• Advanced experience using Klaviyo, including campaigns, automation flows, segmentation, A/B testing, reporting, and revenue attribution.
• Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to write in a warm, customer-focused brand voice.
• Experience designing marketing emails using Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
• Ability to create simple GIFs and campaign graphics.
• Strong analytical skills with experience using performance data to improve marketing campaigns.
• Excellent attention to detail across copy, design, segmentation, testing, quality assurance, and campaign deployment.
• Ability to manage projects independently from strategy through execution.
• Experience working with Shopify and DTC ecommerce platforms.
• Nice to have:
  Experience creating paid advertising creative for Meta or Google campaigns.
  Interest in curly hair, beauty, or wellness products.
  Experience working with premium consumer brands.
