Chess.com is hiring multiple remote Product Designers to join teams across Chess.com, Chessable, and ChessKid.

This role is ideal for designers who combine strong UI craft with thoughtful UX problem-solving and enjoy building intuitive digital experiences for millions of users worldwide.

You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to create polished web and mobile experiences, contribute to scalable design systems, and help shape products used by one of the largest global gaming communities.

This is a fully remote opportunity where you’ll work on impactful consumer-facing products in a fast-moving, collaborative, and highly creative environment.

What You Will Do as a Product Designer

• Design intuitive and visually polished interfaces for web and mobile products
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to define and solve user problems
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs
• Contribute to and evolve scalable design systems and reusable patterns
• Present and communicate design decisions clearly using user insights and product context
• Own projects from concept to implementation while ensuring strong design-to-development alignment
• Iterate designs based on feedback, testing, and product goals
• Help improve usability, accessibility, and overall user experience across products
• Participate in design critiques and provide thoughtful feedback to teammates

What They’re Looking For

• Requirements
  2–4 years of experience as a Product Designer working on consumer-facing apps, products, or games
  Strong portfolio demonstrating UX thinking and high-quality UI design
  Solid understanding of typography, hierarchy, layout, and interaction design
  Experience designing for both web and mobile platforms
  Experience working with established design systems
  Familiarity with how designs translate into code (HTML/CSS/JS or mobile frameworks)
  Proficiency with modern design tools like Figma
  Experience using AI-assisted design/prototyping tools such as Figma Make, Cursor, or Claude Code
  Strong communication and collaboration skills in remote teams
  Strong ownership mindset and attention to detail
• Nice to Have
  Interest in chess or familiarity with Chess.com or Chessable
  Experience designing complex or data-heavy products
  Experience contributing to design systems or pattern libraries
  Frontend or design engineering experience
  Accessibility and inclusive design experience
