Emapta Global is hiring a remote Senior Accountant from India, to support a US-based financial advisory and accounting firm specializing in scalable accounting systems and CFO-level financial services for growing businesses.

This role focuses on month-end close ownership, financial reporting, reconciliations, accrual accounting, and managing accounting operations across multiple business entities or clients.

The position is ideal for an experienced accountant who can work independently in a fast-paced, client-service environment.

What You Will Do

• Month-End Close
  Independently manage the monthly close process
  Prepare accurate accrual-based financial statements
  Review balances and identify reporting irregularities
  Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data
• Financial Reporting
  Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and supporting schedules
  Maintain reconciliations for key accounts
  Investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Reconciliations & Analysis
  Perform advanced balance sheet reconciliations
  Analyze financial records for inconsistencies or errors
  Maintain audit-ready supporting documentation
• Multi-Client Accounting
  Manage accounting activities across multiple clients or entities
  Prioritize deadlines and reporting requirements
  Maintain accuracy in complex accounting environments
• Process Improvement
  Identify accounting issues proactively
  Investigate root causes of discrepancies
  Recommend and support process improvements

What They’re Looking For

• Required
  3–5 years of accounting experience
  Strong expertise in accrual accounting
  Experience independently closing books
  Financial statement preparation experience
  Advanced reconciliation skills
  Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  High attention to detail and accountability
  Ability to manage multiple clients or entities
• Preferred
  Experience with US-based companies or clients
  Background in outsourced accounting or advisory firms
• Experience using:
  QuickBooks Online
  Xero
  Similar accounting platforms
• Exposure to deferred revenue accounting
• Experience in fast-paced client-service environments
