About This Opportunity

Buffer is looking for a Senior Growth Engineer to join its Growth Marketing team and help build the systems, tools, and experiences that drive user acquisition and conversion.

This is a hands-on, full-stack role focused on building and optimizing marketing infrastructure- from landing pages and referral systems to analytics, tracking, and experimentation frameworks.

You’ll work closely with marketing, design, and engineering teams to connect users with Buffer at the right moment and continuously improve performance through iteration.

What You’ll Do

• Own growth engineering projects end-to-end, from concept to launch
• Build and optimize features across Buffer’s marketing site, including landing pages, tools, and conversion flows
• Develop systems for A/B testing, SEO/AEO, and programmatic content generation
• Implement and maintain integrations with marketing and analytics tools (e.g. Segment, GTM, Mixpanel, BigQuery)
• Run experiments, validate results, and iterate based on performance data
• Improve performance, accessibility, and overall user experience
• Collaborate closely with marketing, design, and engineering teams
• Contribute to code reviews, knowledge sharing, and engineering standards

What They’re Looking For

• Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and modern web development
• Ability to work across frontend and backend (APIs, integrations, systems)
• Experience with growth, marketing, or product experimentation (SEO, analytics, A/B testing, conversion optimization)
• Comfortable working with third-party tools and tracking systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to move fast while maintaining quality
• Experience working in remote, async environments
• Clear communication and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
• Interest in AI tools and experience integrating AI into workflows or products
• Nice to have
  Experience with Next.js or similar frameworks
  Background in growth engineering or marketing-focused development
  Experience building referral systems or experimentation platforms
  Familiarity with content creation or personal projects (e.g. newsletters, social media)
