Remote Senior Analyst Contract NEW
About This Opportunity
Spreetail is hiring a remote Senior Analyst on a contractor basis to design and scale advanced analytics models and tools that optimize transportation networks, reduce shipping costs, and drive EBITDA growth.
You’ll develop and enhance transportation analytics tools, improve automation and data accuracy, and deliver predictive and real-time insights that support transportation performance management across the business.
What You Will Be Doing
Design and develop analytics models and tools to optimize transportation cost, speed, and network performance.
Own and enhance carrier performance dashboards.
Develop and improve routing and ship-speed optimizers.
Work on chargeback and dispute systems.
Develop and enhance cost benchmarking engines.
Deliver predictive and real-time reporting on key transportation KPIs, including transit time, on-time delivery, and freight spend.
Provide fast, ad hoc decision support with a focus on business drivers and actionable insights.
Deliver ad hoc decision support within a 24-hour SLA.
Collaborate cross-functionally on analytics initiatives.
Support automation efforts.
Contribute to scalable, high-impact analytics solutions.
Improve data accuracy and deliver predictive insights for transportation performance management.
Requirements
4–6+ years of analytics experience, ideally in transportation, supply chain, logistics, or ecommerce operations.
Strong SQL skills using Snowflake, Starburst, or similar platforms.
Advanced Excel skills.
Ability to independently write and optimize complex SQL queries.
Power BI proficiency.
Experience building Power BI dashboards and DAX measures from scratch.
Self-directed problem-solving skills.
Ability to take an ambiguous business question, scope it, pull the relevant data, and deliver actionable insights with minimal oversight.
Excellent written and verbal English.
Comfortable presenting findings directly to US-based leaders and stakeholders.
Experience working across time zones with US teams.
Bonus Experience
Carrier rate analysis.
Freight cost modeling.
Warehouse or inbound operations data.

Desktop/laptop requirements:
4th generation or higher processor.
At least Intel i3 or equivalent processor.
At least 4GB RAM.
Windows 10 or higher or Mac OSX.
Own dual monitors required.
Stable internet connection required, with a DSL, cable, or fiber wired connection of 10 Mbps or higher for the primary connection.
PC headset required.
HD external or integrated webcam with at least 720p resolution required.
