Remote Recruiter – Hiring & Talent Operations Contract Full Time NEW
About This Opportunity
Outcapped is looking for a Recruiter, Talent & Hiring Operations professional to own full-cycle recruiting for its mission-driven clients.
You will work directly with founders and hiring managers, helping them define what they need, build targeted talent pipelines, evaluate candidates, and move searches from kickoff through offer and onboarding.
This is a hands-on recruiting role combining sourcing, candidate engagement, hiring-manager partnership, recruiting operations, ATS management, and process improvement.
What You Will Be Doing
Full-Cycle Recruiting
Own recruiting searches from kickoff through offer and onboarding.
Manage multiple searches and hiring processes across different clients.
Conduct structured candidate screening calls.
Guide candidates through each stage of the hiring process.
Keep searches moving efficiently and maintain momentum.
Hiring Manager & Client Partnership
Work directly with founders, clients, and hiring managers to understand hiring needs.
Help define candidate profiles and clarify what a successful hire looks like.
Recommend appropriate hiring and sourcing strategies.
Provide clear, informed feedback to support hiring decisions.
Maintain strong communication and alignment throughout each search.
Sourcing & Pipeline Development
Build targeted candidate pipelines using multiple sourcing channels.
Go beyond LinkedIn to identify talent in niche and difficult-to-fill markets.
Engage passive candidates through personalized outreach.
Experiment with and improve sourcing strategies based on the requirements of each role.
Research talent markets and identify potential candidates who may not be actively job searching.
Recruiting Operations & Candidate Experience
Run structured, repeatable hiring processes using established workflows and templates.
Coordinate interviews, scheduling, communication, and candidate follow-up.
Maintain a professional and consistent candidate experience.
Ensure candidates receive timely communication throughout the process.
Keep hiring processes organized and moving forward.
ATS & Recruiting Systems
Set up and manage recruiting pipelines in Ashby, the company’s primary ATS.
Maintain stages, workflows, templates, and candidate data.
Keep recruiting information accurate and organized.
Identify opportunities to improve recruiting systems and tooling.
Use technology and AI where appropriate to reduce manual recruiting work.
Process Improvement
Improve recruiting workflows, templates, and playbooks.
Identify inefficiencies and develop more scalable ways of working.
Help create processes that make recruiting more consistent and effective as Outcapped grows.
Additional Operations Support
Depending on your interests and client needs, contribute to broader People Operations or operational projects.
What We’re Looking For
Required
2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with ownership of searches from beginning to end.
Experience working in growing organizations and environments where priorities can change quickly.
Confidence working directly with hiring managers and influencing hiring decisions through thoughtful recommendations.
Strong sourcing experience, including channels beyond LinkedIn.
Ability to build pipelines for niche or difficult-to-fill roles.
Interest in using AI and recruiting technology to eliminate repetitive work and improve hiring processes.
Experience with Ashby or another modern ATS.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.
Ability to independently manage multiple recruiting processes.
Nice to Have
Talent Operations or broader People Operations experience.
Experience recruiting for AI safety, biosecurity, global development, or other mission-driven organizations.
Experience working directly with founders or small startup teams.
Experience improving recruiting processes, systems, or workflows.
Compensation
Outcapped offers both salaried and contractor arrangements depending on your location and preference.
US-based salary: $60,000–$75,000 per year
Contractor: $30–$45/hour
Compensation depends on experience, sourcing ability, and your level of independent ownership over recruiting searches.
Candidates with stronger full-cycle recruiting and sourcing experience may be considered toward the top of the range.
For contractor arrangements, time off is unpaid and contractors are responsible for their own schedules and tax obligations.
Remote Work & Benefits
Full-time position.
Remote-first working environment.
Employment through an EOR, direct employment in Germany or the U.S., or contractor arrangement, depending on location.
Full-time employees receive a customized benefits package, which may include health coverage, paid leave, and a learning budget.
Contractors receive flexibility and compensation structured around their preferred arrangement.
Must have at least 3 hours of overlap with CEST working hours (9 AM–6 PM).
Must also have 3–4 hours of availability overlapping with Pacific Time in California.
