What You Will Do

• Social Media Management

  Manage the day-to-day operations of Chess.com’s French social media channels
  Publish and schedule content across X/Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and other platforms
  Monitor community discussions, trends, and viral content within the chess and gaming space
  Engage with followers, creators, influencers, and community members
  Respond to social media inquiries and support-related conversations

   

• Content Creation & Strategy

  Develop original and engaging French-language content tailored to social platforms
  Create memes, short-form videos, viral content, and community-focused posts
  Adapt global Chess.com content for French-speaking audiences while respecting cultural nuances
  Test and experiment with new content formats and emerging social media trends
  Stay current with platform algorithm changes and social media best practices

   

• Analytics & Growth

  Analyze engagement, reach, audience growth, and content performance metrics
  Optimize content strategy using audience insights and analytics data
  Identify opportunities to grow Chess.com’s French-speaking online community
  Support social campaigns tied to tournaments, events, product launches, and partnerships

   

• Collaboration & Community Engagement

  Work closely with marketing, content, and events teams on global campaigns
  Collaborate with creators, influencers, and chess personalities
  Help maintain a consistent and authentic brand voice across all channels
  Contribute ideas for audience engagement and community growth initiatives

What They’re Looking For

• Proven experience managing social media channels for brands, gaming companies, entertainment, or tech companies
• Strong understanding of major social media platforms and content strategies
• Experience creating engaging content including memes, viral posts, short videos, and trend-driven campaigns
• Excellent written communication skills in French
• Strong understanding of French-speaking online communities and internet culture
• Familiarity with photo and video editing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or CapCut
• Strong analytical mindset with experience reviewing performance metrics and engagement data
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote team environment
• High sense of ownership, creativity, and adaptability
• Preferred Qualifications:
  Passion for chess and understanding of chess culture and terminology
  Experience in gaming, esports, entertainment, or creator-focused industries
  Familiarity with TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and viral content formats
  Experience collaborating with creators or influencer communities
  Ability to identify emerging social media trends and platform opportunities
