As the AFC (Anti-Financial Crime) Operations Manager, you will lead financial crime operations across fiat and cryptocurrency transactions, ensuring strong AML controls, operational compliance, and risk management standards.

This role focuses on anti-financial crime frameworks, investigations, compliance operations, regulatory alignment, and leadership within a fast-moving crypto-financial environment.

This is a senior remote leadership role ideal for professionals experienced in AML operations, cryptocurrency compliance, financial crime investigations, and regulatory risk management.

What You Will Do

• Lead and improve the company’s financial crime risk management operations
• Translate compliance policies into operational procedures and controls
• Manage anti-financial crime controls for fiat and cryptocurrency transactions
• Conduct financial crime risk assessments and mitigation strategies
• Lead and manage a team of financial crime professionals
• Oversee AML investigations and incident resolution
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, risk, engineering, and product teams
• Maintain relationships with counterparties and correspondent banks
• Monitor regulatory developments in cryptocurrency and financial crime compliance
• Deliver reports, quality assurance updates, and risk assessments to leadership
• Support investigations involving blockchain transactions and crypto-related risks

What They’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, or related field
• 5+ years of financial crime or AML operations experience
• Minimum 2 years in a management or leadership role
• Strong knowledge of AML, anti-financial crime, and regulatory compliance
• Experience with cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies
• Knowledge of Gibraltar and UK financial crime regulations
• Experience conducting investigations and working with regulators/law enforcement
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment
• Experience implementing financial crime frameworks and controls
• Familiarity with crypto exchanges, wallets, and blockchain ecosystems
• Preferred Qualifications
  Advanced degree or AML/financial crime certifications
  Experience in crypto banking or fintech companies
  Experience managing operational risk and compliance programs
  Knowledge of blockchain analytics and financial crime monitoring tools
