What You’ll Do
Define and document data requirements with Finance, Loyalty, and architecture teams.
Translate business needs into precise, testable rules, calculations, and transaction-handling logic.
Create source-to-target data mapping specifications, including field mappings, transformations, and reference data.
Write and manage requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria in Jira.
Keep documentation up to date as requirements change.
Identify gaps, unusual cases, and data inconsistencies early, explaining their potential impact.
Collaborate with product managers, data engineers, architects, and quality engineers throughout delivery.
Validate solutions against requirements and support reviews and sign-off with Finance and other business stakeholders.
What Valtech Is Looking For
Proven experience as a Business Analyst on data-focused projects, such as data platforms, data warehouses, or data migrations.
Experience defining business logic and data mapping rules, beyond high-level process requirements.
Strong written communication and experience managing requirements in Jira.
Ability to understand data structures, tables, and fields, with working knowledge of SQL.
Strong communication skills when working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working in an Agile delivery team where requirements evolve.
Nice to Have
Experience with Databricks or similar cloud data platforms.
Background in finance, revenue accounting, or accounting journals.
Experience with loyalty, airline, or travel data.
Familiarity with event-driven or streaming data sources.
