Time Doctor is hiring a remote DevOps Engineer from anywhere to architect, manage, and scale cloud-native infrastructure supporting enterprise SaaS applications used by organizations worldwide.

This role focuses heavily on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Terraform infrastructure automation, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, MongoDB Atlas administration, cloud security, and infrastructure scalability.

The company is specifically looking for engineers with strong hands-on GCP production experience, deep Terraform ownership, and proven experience managing databases and cloud infrastructure at scale.

This is a highly autonomous role ideal for someone who proactively improves infrastructure reliability, performance, scalability, and engineering efficiency in a global remote environment.

What You Will Do

• Design and maintain Terraform-based infrastructure across 40+ environments
• Manage GCP services including GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud Build, networking, and security
• Develop reusable Terraform modules and manage GitOps workflows
• Administer MongoDB Atlas clusters, replication, backups, and performance optimization
• Manage Redis, BigQuery, and cloud storage infrastructure
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Cloud Build
• Automate deployments and infrastructure processes using Python and Bash
• Implement monitoring, observability, logging, and incident response systems
• Configure Cloud Armor, SSL/TLS, Secret Manager, IAM, and cloud security best practices
• Collaborate with engineering teams on scalability and infrastructure optimization
• Create documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures
• Mentor team members on DevOps best practices

What They’re Looking For

• 3–5+ years of DevOps or cloud infrastructure experience
  Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  Advanced Terraform experience across complex multi-environment infrastructure
  Production experience with MongoDB Atlas administration
  Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments
  CI/CD expertise using GitHub Actions and Cloud Build
  Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash
  Experience with monitoring and observability tools
  Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, infrastructure security, and automation
  Ability to work independently in a remote async-first environment

   

• Preferred Qualifications:
  Experience with GitOps workflows and Terraform Cloud
  Experience with Cloud Armor and serverless infrastructure
  Familiarity with Sentry, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry
  Experience scaling SaaS infrastructure in production environments
  Interest in AI-driven DevOps automation and workflow optimization
