Remote Senior Full-Stack Builder Contract Part Time NEW

About This Opportunity

Katapult is hiring a remote Senior Full-Stack Builder to join Katapult Labs and work with US-based startups and companies from Latin America.

You’ll work as a builder engineer who can move across architecture, backend, frontend, mobile, and UX while taking ownership of product outcomes. The role combines full-stack engineering, product thinking, client collaboration, and AI-assisted development.

What You Will Be Doing

Design and build products end-to-end alongside clients, including architecture, data models, integrations, and final interfaces.
Work in lean teams, typically starting with 2–3 people and scaling as projects grow.
Work directly with clients without a manager or lead acting as a communication layer.
Translate ambiguous business needs into clear, executable technical plans.
Explain and defend the reasoning behind technical and product decisions.
Provide proactive and honest project updates.
Push back on scope when necessary and identify potential technical issues early.
Ask the right questions before technical problems become client trust issues.
Use AI tools such as Claude and Claude Design as part of your daily development workflow.
Plan AI-assisted work, run tasks in parallel, and critically review AI-generated output.
Leave behind context, rules, and tests that allow AI agents and humans to continue working reliably.
Co-create with clients and actively contribute to product decisions rather than simply implementing instructions.
Help communicate the value Katapult brings throughout the engagement.

Requirements

Fluent English sufficient to conduct product and architecture conversations directly with US-based clients.
Solid full-stack experience across backend and frontend.
Mobile or micro-frontend experience is a plus.
Track record of turning unclear product conversations into working architecture quickly.
Ability to think about scalability, access control, and integrations from the beginning of a project.
Senior-level experience and ability to run an engagement independently when required.
Track record that includes both successful projects and lessons learned.
Previous experience working directly with clients or business stakeholders.
Startup or product-consulting experience is a strong fit.
Comfortable using AI tools as a core part of your daily workflow, including planning and critically reviewing AI agent output.
