What You’ll Do

• Architecture & Development
  Design modern Java-based solutions for legacy system transformation
  Contribute to an automated tool that converts COBOL to Java
  Write clean, testable, and scalable code
• Technical Contribution
  Participate in code reviews and maintain engineering best practices
  Integrate libraries, customize solutions, and support automation
  Solve complex technical challenges and support team members
• Modernization & Innovation
  Work on language modernization and refactoring strategies
  Contribute to improving development workflows and tooling

Requirements

• Core Technical Skills
  7+ years of experience in Java development
  Strong knowledge of frameworks and libraries: Spring, Guava, Apache Commons, JPA
  Solid understanding of SQL, ORM, and relational databases
  Experience with CI/CD tools (Git, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Docker)
  Strong experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Additional Strengths
  Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
  Ability to work hands-on in coding-heavy environments
• Nice to have
  Experience with COBOL, JCL, or legacy systems (MVS)
  Knowledge of ANTLR, XText, or compilation technologies
  Familiarity with cloud platforms and Kubernetes
  Performance tuning experience

Work Environment

• Primarily hands-on coding role
• Development mainly on Windows / Eclipse-based environments
• Some travel may be required
