About This Opportunity

OneSeven Tech is hiring a remote Data Scientist-Ssr-Sr to drive AI initiatives focused on user retention and engagement for large-scale data platforms in the MarTech and publishing industries.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of churn prediction models and enhance AI-powered content tagging systems already in production.

You’ll work with complex datasets and large relational schemas to build and optimize models that directly impact business outcomes.

This is a remote, full-time contract role with high ownership and strategic impact.

Responsibilities

• Optimize and improve churn prediction models
• Enhance and scale AI content tagging products
• Contribute to strategic AI initiatives (pricing, optimization, monitoring)
• Collaborate with internal teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Work with complex relational datasets and clean inconsistent data

Requirements

• Strong SQL (SQL Server) and Python (pandas, scikit-learn)
• Experience with Snowflake
• Experience working in AWS environments
• Experience building and deploying ML models (churn prediction or propensity scoring)
• Ability to work with complex relational schemas
• Advanced English communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Nice to have:
  Experience with NLP, LLMs, and content classification
  Background in MarTech or publishing industries
  Experience with Snowflake tools (Cortex ML, Snowpark)
  Experience with metadata management or data documentation
  Familiarity with data engineering and data replication patterns
