Yoko Co is looking for a WordPress Support Engineer to provide hands-on technical support, troubleshoot website issues, and ensure client websites run smoothly post-launch.

This role focuses on diagnosing and resolving a wide range of WordPress-related issues while maintaining clear communication with clients.

You’ll be responsible for investigating problems, implementing fixes, and helping clients feel confident that their websites are stable, secure, and performing well.

Responsabilities

• Provide technical support for WordPress websites and troubleshoot client issues
• Diagnose and resolve bugs, plugin conflicts, layout issues, and unexpected behavior
• Communicate clearly with clients throughout the support process
• Respond to incoming support requests with thoughtful and timely solutions
• Apply updates to WordPress core, themes, and plugins while ensuring stability
• Debug and modify HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP within WordPress when needed
• Investigate hosting, DNS, email delivery, analytics, and integration issues
• Monitor website performance, security, and overall health
• Perform QA testing across browsers and devices after fixes and updates
• Document support work in ticketing systems
• Collaborate with developers, project managers, and other team members
• Contribute to improving internal processes and documentation
• Provide guidance or tutorials to help clients manage their websites

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience working with WordPress in a technical role
• Strong understanding of WordPress themes, plugins, and configurations
• Ability to read and work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
• Experience debugging technical issues (plugin conflicts, integrations, etc.)
• Familiarity with hosting environments, DNS, and migrations
• Experience working with ticketing or support systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Fluent English
• Niche to have:
  Experience with Git workflows
  Experience in agency or multi-client environments
